Wendy Saltzman is a two-time Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter who joined the CBS Atlanta News Investigative team in September of 2005.  She has been honored with the Georgia Association of Broadcasters award for Best Anchor/Reporter in Georgia for three consecutive years in a row.   Her stories focus primarily on political corruption, public waste, and hidden camera reports. Saltzman has worked as an Investigative Reporter in Texas, Michigan, and Florida. She has also been profiled on national talk shows like “The John Walsh Show” for her reporting. Wendy moved to Atlanta to help launch CBS Atlanta’s Investigative Team.  While here, she won an Emmy for Investigative Reporting for a hidden camera report which exposed a high tech identity crime ring.  Three people were arrested and criminally prosecuted as a result of her report.  Wendy has been recognized nationally for her work, and she is one of only three reporters in the United States who was nominated for the National Emmy for Investigative Reporting in 2009 for local television news. She has also been honored with 6 additional Emmy Nominations, for a total of 7 personal Emmy nominations during her career. Wendy moved to Atlanta from Orlando, where she worked for the CBS station WKMG-TV. Saltzman was nominated for an Emmy and gained state-wide recognition for a hidden camera investigation into public officials attending a tax-payer funded junket in Las Vegas. Saltzman was named Best News Reporter by Orlando Magazine, and she has been honored with multiple awards for her Investigative, Consumer, and Criminal Justice Reporting. Wendy’s reports also resulted in the change of a law which overhauled a public transportation agency in Florida. Saltzman worked for CBS News before becoming an Investigative Reporter. She began her career working for “The Evening News with Dan Rather,” where she covered the trial of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.
